Fall

Well here it is the last big week end of the summer!

The children have most all gone back to school and thoughts of cooler weather are within our reach here in Oklahoma.

Warron & I have decided to put Harmony Village on an Hiatus until Spring of 2009. We will still have Sweat Lodges, but no retreats. If we decide on a class over the winter, we will post it to the calender and send out emails.

We have been shown visions of what the Village should become. As it was it was limited to a small selection of people. That wasn't what the original thought was to be. Our dream was to be a place for everyone. With the new ideas this should become a reality. We are still in need of construction materials, donations (big or small) and helpers.

If you would like to be part of the building of the Village, keep watching this page or email us for work days, send a donation marked Village or we have a booklet explaining the Medicine Wheel here at Harmony Village along with the 11 stones and pouch for $25 which all goes to the building fund.

Our little Farm continues to do well, we have 21  hens and 2 roosters (who have duked it out last week). Our FIRST egg came on August 30!

Our goat herd is at 5, 4  Nigerian does and 1 little Buck who is not so little now and became a father this Summer.

UPDATE: WE had to start bottle feeding Annie as she quit nursing at 2 weeks. Annie is eating very well now and even eating grains & grass. She is getting much stronger and turned into a real lovable little goat! Clover thinks she is a dog, had to close doggie door as she learned to follow the dogs in

 Our pig is getting fatter.

On a sad note.........

We lost our little Sheltie - Shelby Lynn (11yrs) in July and then our cat - Indy (9 yrs) also in July. We miss BOTH of them terribly!

The garden did fairly well till the squash bugs came and wiped out the squash & pumpkins! I learned which of the 12 types of tomato plants do well here and which to past up next year. Most of the peppers did so well I know I don't need as many plants next year. I did learn that I need to continue to build up the soil in the garden. The corn produced, but only  half ears, but very sweet. Watermelons & cantalopes are coming along, even with the 9" of rain that spoiled some of them.

Continue  to remember our service men & women over seas. We don't have to agree with the war, but we DO have to HONOR our service men & women!

Study the Presidential Candidates and get out and Vote. This is a first time we don't have a sitting President or Vice President running. This Country needs Change if it is going to survive for Us and our Children. If you don't Vote you Don't have the Right to Complain!

Blessings to ALL

Debra
